Content delivery method
First off, video content works well on LinkedIn ideally 1-2 minutes long. HOWEVER, keep in mind to have subtitles as your videos are muted. Another way to go about delivering content is through polls, after an individual clicks on the link you can send them a link in regards to your poll. Lastly, documents are another key example that works great!
When I talk about documents, this would be pictures with a few texts via pdf. (One person who does this well is Gary Vee). Lastly engagement is very important as you want the hashtags & content to compliment each other. As with any platform, the software wants you to stay logged on for as long as possible. For the content used on LinkedIn you will want to use native content as content links devalue your content. One way to go about adding links is through putting the link in the comment section. Bouncing off of this, the 3 pillars for content are; Share valuable content, Content delivery method & how to structure your content.
Sharing valuable content is highly important with this being said it is important to understand how to share your insight of a particular industry. Some ways you could provide valuable content is how to grow your business, perhaps questions customers have or to event better themselves.
Structure your content
First two sentences of your post need to be intriguing, think of the first two sentences as a hook. The two different hooks are question & number hooks. For question hooks, think about it as an article title. As for number hooks consider survey data and what would be interesting. For example 61% of people found Cordless Cre8ors podcast interesting.
When it comes to structure consider adding space every 1 - 2 sentences per se. Another element which could be used is emojis such as numbers and fire emojis. To end the post strongly it is important to have a call to action before you add hashtags!
Hashtags help to gravitate more people to view your content, with this being said when key words are used you become more discoverable as more people begin to comment, and interact with your content.
How many hashtags?
It is important to keep in mind, quality vs. quantity with this being said it is good to have a post consist of ONLY 3-5 hashtags, at the END of your post. Going off of this, it is important to understand which hashtags to use is extremely important as you do not want to waste a hashtag on something people do not follow.
I recently started using hashtags through searching before I post then click on one that interest me after that I learn to see how many people are following that particular hashtag. When it comes to certain platforms keep in mind for Facebook you would want zero hashtags. Whereas for Instagram you want roughly 5-10 hashtags.
