Tara is from Chicago, and specializes in live entertainment planning with an emphasis on tours & festivals. Furthermore, she is skilled in event management, branding, artist relations, promotions, and digital media. Throughout the years she booked a variety of talent to perform at UIC's signature events and artist hospitality and VIP services.
During her time at the University of Illinois she majored in communication and professional writing. During her time there she was involved in UIC Radio, Student Activities Board, Spark Committee and Hall Council. She has received training and has been invited to workshops with CAA at their selective Hubb Conference in 2019. While working in artist relations, she spent three years working for UIC's largest event programming organization the Student Activities Board (SAB). Starting out as a general board member and later being promoted as the Main-Stage Committee Chair, these positions held her responsible for curating and managing large-scale events on campus.
During the past year she has been involved with Chancellor's Student Service Award, Executive Brand Director (UIC Radio), and a Street Team Member. The Chancellor considered recipients who contributed a significant amount of time, effort and creativity to one or more campus & community projects. As for being an Executive Brand Director, she created 6 marketing campaigns and maintained brand identity for UIC Radio. Managed UIC Radio's social media accounts and coached 54 DJs & bloggers on personal brand development. (15 hrs. a week). Lastly, she has assisted Street Team with social media campaigns and promotion of artists.
While she has an extensive amount of knowledge about the entertainment industry her skill set is impressive. From talent booking to event management and planning. In addition to this, she has an extensive amount of knowledge when it comes to marketing. From social media, to marketing management and promotional marketing. She has every skill needed to achieve success in todays society.
