While no one can agree on where music comes from or how it was created, we can almost all agree that music is an extraordinary tool that helps us in our daily lives. Mr. Silver has been able to help us stay motivated, as he works hand in hand with some of the most talented individuals.
After having a conversation with Benjamin Silver, I was able to learn how interesting this individual is. From the late-night gigs, to the early morning commutes, Benjamin has been creating waves for a while. However, he would not be where he is today if not for embracing every challenge and working through the late nights to get his foot in the door to some of the most exclusive locations.
Going along with this, the concept of pushing amazing concerts, festivals, and music to new people has been something that has carried with Mr. Silver ever since his first role in the entertainment industry. While not working on music, he enjoys working at a local motorcycle shop which has been great, in addition to this he enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures.
Through each experience he has been presented with, he is grateful for being able to work with artists, tour managers, artist managers, and speaking in their languages thus being able to adapt has been something Mr. Silver quickly learned from the get-go.
Digging Through The Crates
His experience across the different companies he's worked for has been so different from aspect to another. For instance, Founders gave him a shot when he cold emailed them, and they have helped him grow into the person he is today!
Through this experience, he gets excited when he gets to go onsite and help with the festival. Following this, Live Nation was such a unique experience because of the magnitude of the artists and tours you deal with every day, as well as the office which is great as the coworkers are friendly and help each other out. Lastly, Republic records was conducted in a way that made it seem cool and fashionable to work there and made each employee feel glamorous when they walked into the office every day.
However, his top accomplishment was, The Governors Ball which occurs every year and requires employees to create an amazing festival as they work alongside great brands to create memorable activations onsite. Throughout the whole interview he kept informing me on the importance of networking and keeping up with more people in the music industry because it really is who you meet in this industry.
While there was never another career path, he was interested it, he feels that he was really lucky to find what he wanted to do at the age of 16. Through understanding what he wanted to do; he is blessed by the numerous mentors he has in his life.
As his friend Cyrus gave him a shot at The Governors Ball and it has been great ever since, as he was able to have another mentor through working The Governors Ball who was his boss during the event.
