What are your day to day responsibilities while on set of Sweet Magnolias?
My day to day responsibilities on set are get there on time, do a good job, and don’t get stuff on your wardrobe. That’s really it. The crew that surrounds us really deserves so much more credit than they actually get. These people keep everything running smoothly; without them, the show wouldn’t be able to be made. They don’t only work all day, but they work every day. Shoutout to them!
What was the highlight of working on the set of Talia in the Kitchen?
It was my first ever TV project. Before Talia in the Kitchen I was just doing commercials and modeling gigs. So, I think the whole thing was the highlight. The experience was totally new and different for me, and helped propel me into the acting world.
What was it like to play Kevin Ryan in Bernie The Dolphin?
Playing Kevin in Bernie the Dolphin was so much fun! It was my first film so it was a new experience. I got to work with some great actors such as Patrick Muldoon and Kevin Sorbo. They weren’t only super nice, but I also learned a lot from them. We also filmed with Dolphins for a few weeks which was the coolest thing ever! They became one of my favorite animals by the end of filming, they’re like little dogs.
What’s the most important risk you took and why?
There’s been a lot of project risks I’ve taken. By that, I mean I’ve had to choose between 2 projects and that’s a very tough thing to do. It’s a risk either way because what if you pick the wrong one and it leads you the wrong way in life; you never know.
Who are your biggest influences?
Depends on what were talking about. When it comes to life, I think it’s my parents. They’re the ones who raised me into the person I am today and I really look up to them. When it comes to acting, I think Christian Bale is up there. The dedication with each role is just incredible.
What was the experience like appearing in commercials such as the Rockstar kid for TruMoo, Universal Orlando and Volcano Bay? Those commercials really got me started and interested in acting. All these changed my life and got me where I am today. I’m from Orlando, Florida and we obviously have all the theme parks down there so the commercials were fun. We got to do Disney, Universal, Volcano Bay, etc. As a young kid, I was in heaven! I was not only going to be in commercials but I got to ride rides at theme parks all day lol.
What does style mean to you in regards to fashion?
I think your style reflects who you are. For example, I’m a laid back person, so you’ll see me in sweats, maybe comfortable shorts, with a t-shirt 80% of the time.
What social issues are you most passionate about?
Two social issues that come to mind right away are inequality and bullying. Both affect millions of people day to day basis and are avoidable.
During these past few months what have you learned from COVID?
I think I’ve learned how much we take for granted. Before the virus being able to go wherever without having to worry about a virus or your mask, was so nice. So, I think the virus has put that into perspective for me. I also think it’s gotten me closer to my family. We’re always going so fast in life we rarely take a step back and look at what we have at our own home. Being home all the time allowed me to get closer with my family.
